The appointment with the new of this Huawei series has made us wait longer than normal (and it is not that it is something that surprises us, taking into account that everything has stopped and perhaps due to the situation with the lack of Google services ) . Thus, it was not at the end of 2019 but now, in the middle of spring 2020, that we have met the new Huawei P Smart 2020 .

For now it is a new mobile that stands as the direct heir of the Huawei P Smart 2019 , very, very direct if we compare one technical sheet and another. Among those characteristics that we will now detail, we see that the commitment to the IPS panel is maintained and that the objective is once again to compete in the mid-range with an adjusted price .

A design that sounds familiar to us

Speaking precisely of that screen, what we see in the new P Smart are 6.21 inches and FullHD + resolution (2,340 x 1,080 pixels). The same as we saw in the 2019 one and also maintaining the design of the front by opting for a drop-shaped notch , so there are no holes on the screen here.

The fingerprint reader is located at the back, in which we also see the module for the double camera that houses this new mobile. Although the design of the same adapts to the current trend and is somewhat more rectangular, seeing that the back remains bright and striking at least in the green and blue tones.

Conservative also in motor and photography

Very discreet the jump we see in terms of the processor taking into account that it is the Kirin 710F , an evolution of the one that led the P Smart 2019 and that together with the 4 GB of RAM and 128 of storage makes up its mid-range status rather modest. For the power of these and the rest of the components, we see a 3,400 mAh battery, yes, without fast charging.

Speaking of connectivity, it has NFC in addition to 4G Dual, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and FM radio. It also has an audio jack, although it does have a micro USB 2.0 port for charging. One detail is that P Smart 2020 arrives with Android 9 Pie and EMUI 9, so there is a possibility that it arrives with active Google services, but this is not confirmed.

For cameras, the P Smart 2020 plays the back to basics card again and maintains a dual camera that is no longer too common in current phones with three or four rear cameras. They consist of a rear 13-megapixel sensor with f / 1.8 lens for the main camera, which is accompanied by a secondary one for depth analysis with a 2-megapixel sensor.

It also remains to be seen if there will be a second P Smart this year. The previous one we later saw a Huawei P Smart + 2019 that improved in some respects to the standard edition, so it would not be surprising if we later saw a second P 2020 with one more camera or some improvement of that style.
