We are living a May full of news, especially in the mobile market, and those of Alcatel have also wanted to get on this train. They do it with a new Alcatel 3X , which collects the witness that we saw last year with this same nomenclature .

6.52 inches looking to get the most out of the front

Seeking to fit into current trends without neglecting the brand's design lines, the new Alcatel 3X has a rear part similar to that of its predecessor, although this time the rear cameras (four) fit into a module in the form of a tab dominoes. A flat, plastic back that includes the fingerprint reader centered on its upper half.

We see that the edge is curved, thus seeking to be comfortable and give a good grip, fitting the glass with 2.5D curvature of the screen. A 6.52-inch panel with HD + resolution and V-shaped notch , maintaining this characteristic with respect to the previous 3X and achieving according to the manufacturer a use of the front by the screen of 89.04%.

More battery and more cameras

Speaking of the interior, Alcatel once again bets on MediaTek's proposals and integrates an MT6762 , accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. A capacity that can be expanded up to 256 GB thanks to a microSD card.

Coming out with Android 10 as software, this new Alcatel 3X manages to take more advantage of the space for components by integrating a 5,000 mAh battery , although no type of fast charge is specified. In fact, what is indicated is a total charge time of 3 and a half hours, so there is no quick charge.

Speaking of cameras, this traffic light module expands by integrating one more optic. The main camera has a 16 megapixel sensor with 1.12 μm pixels , a size that is not bad and with which they want to have a good performance also in low light.

Accompanying this lens we see a macro camera with a 2 megapixel sensor, a wide angle with a 5 megapixel sensor and a fourth camera dedicated to depth analysis for background blur with a 2 megapixel sensor. And for its part, the front camera is maintained with an 8-megapixel sensor, perhaps the same as the previous 3X.

The new Alcatel 3X starts with a price of 149 euros , thus remaining in the low cost line that phones of this brand normally have, corresponding to a more modest configuration than in other cases within the same range. It will begin to be available in Europe from next June, in the colors green and black and in a unique configuration of memories.
